What Kind of Support Can I Receive?
As an online student in the Price School of Public Policy, you receive multiple levels of support to help you navigate your options and minimize obstacles that accompany some graduate programs. When our students are admitted to the online MPA program, they are assigned both a faculty advisor and student services advisor. Our support doesn’t end there. As a USC online MPA student, you also have access to a cohort coach, financial aid advisor and technical help desk.
Our Specialized Experts
The Cohort Coach
The cohort coach program is unique to USC. As an online student, you have access to a USC MPA alumnus who serves as a cohort coach for the program. Your coach can help you explore career options, suggests research topics and acts as a liaison between you and your professors.
Your faculty advisor helps you narrow your area of interests, introduces you to faculty members in the field, and helps you explore academic and professional development opportunities.
The Student Services Advisor
Your student services advisor helps you get started on your online MPA. From transfer credits to satisfying prerequisites all the way to filing for graduation, your student services advisor will be there to assist you with all administrative aspects of your academic progress.
Full-time Support Network
Your technical support team is there if you ever have technical issues with the online platform. With USC’s technical help desk, you can receive helpful, live support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Be a Part of the Trojan Family
Many schools talk about their strong alumni networks, but few can back it up. With more than 375,000 living alumni around the world and more than 100 alumni groups on five continents, the University of Southern California boats one of the most recognized alumni networks on the West Coast. Our students join ranks of leaders and scholars, including Neil Armstrong, Sol Price, the namesake of our Price School of Public Policy, and countless successful professionals. When you join USC, you join more than a network — you join the Trojan family.
“I have wanted to be a Trojan since I was about 8 years old.”
— Cynthia McDougal, USC MPA Online Student
