What Sets the Trojan Network Apart?

World-Class Faculty

The USC Price School’s online MPA is led by nine full-time faculty members, each distinguished in their respective specialized areas. Their diverse backgrounds and research interests means that MPA students can explore every avenue of public administration with a subject matter expert at the helm. Whether your interests lie in nonprofit management or public policy analysis, our dedicated faculty members are there to help you expand your body of knowledge.

“[Faculty members] are always available to offer encouragement, clarification and guidance, and you can tell that they really want every student in the class to succeed. They’re not just grading papers to grade papers. They care, and it makes a huge difference.”
— Cynthia McDougal, USC MPA Online Student

Student Spotlight: Cynthia McDougal

The foundation of public administration is passion. That’s something that USC online MPA student Cynthia McDougal knows all too well. Cynthia’s decision to pursue public administration started with a passion to end bullying and create systematic change on a large scale, which ultimately led her to our online Master of Public Administration program.

“To change the systemic problems [in social work], I would need to change policy. An MPA became the logical choice.”

As a mother and executive office director with United Way Metropolitan Dallas, Cynthia knew that to gain the skills to create positive change, she needed a flexible online program from a reputable university. For her, the choice was easy.

“Once I discovered that USC not only had an MPA program, but offered the MPA online, that was it. It was USC or not at all.”

As a longtime supporter of USC, Cynthia was well aware of the prestige associated with the Trojan network. Many of our graduates report a tight-knit community of USC alumni in the job market and during the hiring process. Between the assignments and lectures, our extensive Trojan family is there to provide support and community to our alumni.

“I feel absolutely humbled and honored to be part of the Trojan nation that’s going to carry that reputation forward. It is literally the culmination of an almost lifelong goal for me.”
